In November Clive visited Poland for a few days of promoting music, meeting fans and discussing plans for the future with Metal Mind Productions. Lots of interesting decisions have been made and we can expect some exciting announcements very soon... Watch this space!
Clive: "I have just returned for an excellent few days in Poland. It was a wonderful chance to meet old friends as well as, I hope, make new ones. I got to visit the Krakow Rock Serwis Cafe and talk music with people, along with a bit of playing, and a few interesting drinks. I spent a couple of hours talking to Artur Chachlowski on his MLWZ radio show and I had a very positive meeting with the guys from Metal Mind - a massive thank you to Mariola Dziubinska and Agnieszka Kulpinska! I also had the privilege of introducing a new band, called Arlon in what will become a series of regular progressive gigs in Katowice, Rock Area on Stage… Very exciting, good luck, guys! Thanks very much to all the kind people I hung out with while I was there, especially Artur and Małgorzata Chachlowski for their wonderful hospitality and Magda Grabias for keeping me organised... I look forward to returning to Poland very soon!"

The long awaited 'Alchemy' shows, which took place in early September at the Cheltenham Playhouse Theatre, proved to be a great success! The Caamora Theatre Company, featuring eleven principal singers, eleven understudies, the band and the chorus, performed four shows in front of the enthusiastic multinational audience. The superb performances from everyone involved brought most positive reactions from press and viewers alike.
Moreover, on the closing night of the Cheltenham shows, Clive was presented with the MLWZ Golden Lexicon Award 2013 for Outstanding Achievements in Music for his musical 'Alchemy', which crowned three extremely intensive years of work on the musical. Congratulations, Clive! Well deserved!
Clive: "Winning this achievement award was a real surprise to me and a wonderful conclusion to the 'Alchemy' week. It is already on my wall and I am very proud of it. Thank you!"
Less than two weeks before the UK premiere of 'Alchemy', we are happy to present an interview with Clive conducted for the German EMPIRE magazine. Clive is talking about the difficult process of creating the musical and turning it into full theatrical production, and more...
Clive: “I had to create a story first. That took the first year really. I would cover my wall with ‘sticky notes’ as I tried to develop and visualize the plot. Once the story was pretty much in place, I started to collect musical material. I still remember when that folder was empty! It’s a big mountain to climb, and I lived and breathed 'Alchemy' virtually every day for three years… I still am!”
