Clive: "I must confess that over the last few months I have been going through a real crisis of confidence regarding the 'Alchemy' shows and indeed my wishes to pursue the whole genre of musicals. It has proved organisationally complex, financially stressful and mentally draining... way beyond the more familiar parameters of the bands I am a part of. A while ago I came to the conclusion that writing another musical in the same style as 'She' or 'Alchemy' is something I don't think I can do. Locking myself away for another 4 years to produce something that is a pure 'long shot' seems to be a step too far. While I love this genre of entertainment, unfortunately I don't have the fame or 'popular credibility' to attract the interest of the big and essential producers... the ones who have the budget to really help... and believe me, every inch of this thing runs on money... big money!"

The new album's title has finally been announced! The release of "Men Who Climb Mountains" in October 2014 will be followed by an extensive European tour ranging from the UK (Mega Daze), through Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Switzerland and back to the UK for some more concert dates. The tour will also be an opportunity to introduce Pendragon's new drummer, Craig Blundell.
Clive: "The works for the new album have been in full swing for months now and we are all very excited about it. There is still a lot to be done and it will still take time before the album eventually sees the light of the day, but the release date is getting closer and we are looking forward to the Autumn tour! Hope to see you at some of the dates!"

Another album produced by Clive was released on June 9th. 'Sleepless', a debut solo album of the Caamora Theatre Company singer, Agnieszka Swita, features Clive on keyboards alongside Steve Harris on guitars, Andy Faulkner on bass and Dave Mackintosh on drums. The songs are sung and written by Agnieszka except for the title track, which was composed by Clive.
Clive: "'Sleepless' is an album of catchy melodies and strong flavours. The album crosses from pop to heavy rock, and features some excellent performances."

Arena has confirmed that a brand new album will be written and released later in 2014! The release of the band's eight studio album will be followed by a tour scheduled for the beginning of 2015.
Clive: "Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Arena, and we are planning a substantial tour to celebrate this event. To coincide with this tour we are releasing a new studio album. This album is being written over the next few months and will be recorded later this year. It will be a concept album loosely based on an M.R. James horror story, with plenty of strong themes and dark drama… Pure, classic Arena!
Meanwhile, Arena's only concert in 2014 will take place on May 18th in Leamington Spa as part of The Prog Charity Event, Trinity Aid. Check details HERE.
